A Special Ballot, or Vote by Mail, is available to eligible Albertans.
*Updated September 3, 2026: The initial deadline to apply for a special ballot was October 9, 2026. The new deadline is September 25, 2026. This change will ensure electors can receive and return their special ballots to Elections Alberta’s Edmonton offices by mail by the legislated deadline.

Elections Alberta "Where to Vote tool" provides information for advance voting, and Election Day voting locations.
You may also find this information in the following options:
"Where to Vote" card mailed to electors starting in late September,
on your emailed "Where to Vote" card if you selected that delivery method when you registered to vote, or
by contacting Elections Alberta at 1-877-422-VOTE (8683).
